The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

Wednesday's Best NHL Bets

Toronto Maple Leafs at New York Rangers (-156, 5.5)

After a goal-scoring flood, in which the Maple Leafs netted 22 total goals over a four-game winning streak, the well has gone dry in Toronto.

The Leafs have mustered only two goals in their last two outings, both losses. Toronto managed 29 shots on goal in a 5-1 loss to Phoenix Thursday then managed 33 shots in a 2-1 shootout loss to Calgary Saturday night.

Leafs backers are hoping to return of winger Kris Versteeg will help wake up the offense against the Rangers and their star goaltender Henrik Lundqvist. Versteeg is currently tied for third in points on the team with 12 goals and 19 assists.

“He’s a guy that controls the play out there a lot, opens it up, plays a lot of different situations for us,” forward Colby Armstrong told the National Post of Versteeg’s ability. “He’s got the puck on a string most of the time, so he’s got the ability to make a lot happen offensively for us.”

New York heads into Wednesday losing three of its last four games. The Rangers have won back-to-back meetings with the Maple Leafs, most recently a 2-0 in Toronto on October 30.

In their last 10 meetings, the Leafs and Rangers have played under the total six times. And, even though Versteeg is expected to return, Wednesday’s game looks like another low-scoring slug fest.

Pick: Under

Minnesota Wild at Calgary Flames (-138, 5)

The Flames, who sit second last in the Western Conference, are heating up after a successful four-game road swing.

Calgary captured at least a point in all four of those games, going 2-0-0-2 with the two losses coming in shootouts. The Flames’ most recent game was a 5-4 defeat in a shootout to the Montreal Canadiens Monday. They scored two third-period goals to force extra time, stealing a point in the Bell Centre – arguably hockey’s toughest arena.

"It's a big point," head coach Brent Sutter told the Calgary Herald of Monday’s game. ''I'm not discouraged with this game at all. Actually, I'm proud of how the guys battled back and competed hard to get back in it.

"They played hard to get a point out of here."

The Flames take that momentum back home, where they are a respectable 11-8-0-1. Calgary is also 20-6-2 in its last 28 home tilts against the Minnesota Wild, who are in Edmonton Tuesday before making the trip south to the Saddledome.

Pick: Calgary

PICK 'N' ROLL

Wednesday's Best NBA Bet

Washington Wizards at Milwaukee Bucks (-7, 185)

Enough is enough for the Washington Wizards.

The Wiz have won four straight games at home and bagged back-to-back victories in their last two outings, most recently knocking off the Utah Jazz, 108-101, as 4.5-point home underdogs.

But hanging over Washington’s head is that goose egg in the road wins column. The Wizards are 0-19 away from the Verizon Center with a 5-14 mark against the spread. They haven’t covered in their last four road games, but seemed determined to snap that skid Wednesday night.

"The most important thing is getting passed it and trying to get that zero to a one, getting better and better and improving," forward Andray Blatche told the Washington Post. "I don't know if we just don't believe in ourselves on the road and lose focus. I don't know if it's because we haven't won a game on the road and we use that as an excuse. I don't know what it is, but we have to figure out what it is and change that."

Washington averages 94.4 points per road game, compared to 99.4 at home, and allows opponents to score an average of 102.4 points against while in rival arenas – which is the same amount it gives up as in D.C.

"We've got to set goals and set goals to try to make the playoffs," newly-acquired forward Rashard Lewis told reporters. "We're four or five games out of it and we can set that goal to reach it. Anything can happen, but you've got to stay positive."

Wednesday’s game in Milwaukee may just be the right spot for the lukewarm Wizards. The Bucks are mired in a nasty skid, having lost three straight and eight of their last 10 contests.

Pick: Washington

Wednesday's Best NCAAB Bets

Duke Blue Devils at North Carolina State Wolfpack (+10, 151)

The defending national champs have proven to be human in recent weeks, dropping from their No. 1 ranking and failing to cover the spread in three straight outings.

The Duke Blue Devils are 2-1 SU in that span, defeating Virginia (+21.5) by only four points and Maryland (+14.5) by just seven points on January 9. Sandwiched in between those slight wins is a 66-61 loss to Florida State (+7).

That has the Wolfpack licking their chops heading into Wednesday’s North Carolina rivalry. NC State is happy to be home after two straight ACC road losses and is hoping to build on its recent history against the Blue Devils.

"Morale is good, effort is good, and the energy is good," head coach Sidney Lowe told the News Observer following his team’s loss to FSU. "They're certainly disappointed in the loss, but they understand we really have a lot of games to go, and things can happen."

The Wolfpack have played their state neighbors tough in recent years, posting a 2-3 record versus Duke since March 2007, with a 4-1 mark against the spread in that span. North Carolina State defeated the Blue Devils 88-74 as an 11.5-point home favorite in their most recent clash, back in January of last year.

Pick: North Carolina State

CTO (CBB):

*OKLAHOMA STATE 79 - Iowa State 65 RATING - 11
Well-balanced Oklahoma State returning home after back-to-back games at Texas A&M and at improved Colorado on the rugged Big XII road. Meanwhile, Iowa State hitting the trail for the first time in a week. New Cyclone coach Fred Hoiberg doing
a good rebuilding job at ISU. But the Cowboys always double tough in Stillwater, and OSU’s burly frontliners now getting an increasing boost from 6-7 soph slasher Jean-Paul Olukemi (22 last week vs. K-State), who has led the team in scoring three times despite not starting. Unlike many college outfits, the Cowboys (72%) hit their FTs and can be tough to catch (especially with G Keiton Page—89%).

GOLD SHEET KEY RELEASES (CBB):

ST. JOHN'S by 1 over Louisville (Wednesday, January 19)
SOUTH CAROLINA by 13 over Arkansas (Wednesday, January 19)

SOUTH CAROLINA 77 - Arkansas 64 —At short price, favor
rapidly-maturing, home-loving South Carolina (9-1 SU at 18,000-seat Colonial
Life Arena), oozing with confidence following 72-69 upset at Florida last
Saturday. Gamecocks’ “blue-collar” 6-6 F Malik Cooke (Nevada transfer had 8
pts., 13 rebs. in Vandy win Jan. 8) is helping out defensive ace 6-9 sr. C Sam
Muldrow (10 ppg, 7 rpg; on pace to become USC’s all-time leading shot
blocker), while speedy frosh PG Bruce Ellington making wiser decisions in
half-court offense. Poor-boarding Arkansas (last in SEC rebounding) is a
perfect 11-0 in Fayetteville, but has yet to win away from home (0-2 in true
road games; 0-2 on netural sites). And, with Carolina’s sixth-man, sweetstroking
soph G Ramon Galloway (10 ppg), providing steady spark off bench,
John Pelphrey’s squad pays for 13-point win at Bud Walton Arena a year ago.
09-ARK -4 92-79

St. John's 80 - LOUSIVILLE 79—SJ offense regained its rhythm in
last Sunday’s 72-54 romp in quick rematch vs. Notre Dame, following back-toback
losses vs. the Irish & Syracuse. So, believe Red Storm can keep pace with go-go Louisville,
allowing 82 ppg at KFC Yum! Center. SJ owns a proficient
go-to scorer in G Dwight Hardy (15 ppg), while aggressive 6-7 sr. F ******
Brownlee able to produce down low vs. Card forecourt missing top rebounder
6-8 soph Rakeem Buckles (sidelined with finger injury). Doubt Rick Pitino’s
presses reap many rewards vs. careful Red Storm ballhandlers (only 11.6
TOs pg). Might Louisville’s tank also be a bit low after its hurricane-like
comeback from 18-point deficit in last six minutes of win over Marquette
Saturday? 09-LVL -13 75-68, STJ +6 74-55

GOLD SHEET KEY RELEASES (NBA):

NEW YORK by 12 over Houston (Wednesday, January 19)
OKLAHOMA CITY by 9 over Denver (Wednesday, January 19)
OVER in the PORTLAND-SACRAMENTO game (Wed., January 19)

New York 116 - HOUSTON 104—Houston’s 104-96 win at Madison
Square Garden on Nov. 14 was the Rockets 11th in last 12 meetings against
New York. However, that game was before the Knicks became fully
acclimated to playing with offseason acquisitions F/C Amar'e Stoudemire and
PG Ray Felton. Houston G Kevin Martin led all scorers with 28 pts., and F Luis
Scola had 24 before fouling out in first meeting with the Knicks. New York will
likely be a small underdog in this game, and the Knicks are 15-3 as a road dog,
with only non-covers coming at the Lakers, Orlando and early in the season at
Milwaukee. New York HC Mike D’Antonio regained services of starting F Danilo
Gallinari (15 ppg, 5 rpg), who missed last 6 before returning vs. Phoenix
Monday. He had 17 points to support Stoudemire on the frontline vs. the Suns.
Houston has covered just three times in last 13 games, and Rick Adelman’s
team’s poor defense has been at the root of the downturn. The Rockets have
yielded 107 ppg in the last 12, resulting in an 8-4 “over” mark in that run, and the
Rockets have an 1-6-1 spread mark last 8 at the Toyota Center

OVER THE TOTAL Portland 118 - SACRAMENTO 111—Streaky
Portland dropped 4 straight spread decisions through Jan. 16, as Blazer
defense has been vulnerable, allowing opponents to shoot 49% over the last 3
weeks. Meanwhile, Sacto has covered 5 of last 6, and King PG Tyreke Evans
has returned to action. After shaking some rust off in his first game back, Evans
turned in one of his best efforts of the season with 25 pts. and 11 assists at
Detroit on Saturday. King F Carl Landry continued his improved play of late, as
he’s contributing 15 ppg & 5 rpg and shooting 55% off the bench in January,
while rookie C DeMarcus Cousins is at 17 ppg & 8 rpg this month. However,
Sacto has been a whipping boy for Portland over the past few years, as the
Blazers have won 7 in a row in the series, covering 5 of those victories,
including a 3-0 SU & spread mark last 3 at Arco Arena. Lack of home support
in Sacto, and trouble getting approval for a new arena, are major factors in the
Maloofs talking to NHL Ducks about a possible move to Anaheim. "Totals" note:
Portland “over” 5-1 last 6 through Jan. 16, while Sacto 6-2 “over” last 8. 09-POR -6' 95-
88 (201), POR -8' 88-81 (198), Por -1' 110-94 (194), Por -7 98-87 (191)

Oklahoma City 110 - DENVER 101—Oklahoma City has shifted
into a higher gear over the last 10 days, winning and covering 4 straight prior
to facing the Lakers Monday night. Denver has won last 6, and 8 of last 9 SU
at the Pepsi Center facing the Thunder, but OKC has covered 3 of last 4 in
Denver. Carmelo Anthony maintaining a high level of play amid the trade talk,
scoring 28 ppg in January, and PG Chauncey Billups (also reportedly a piece
of the trade puzzle) has produced 24 ppg this month. Billups had 30 points in
OKC’s 114-106 win at the Ford Center on Christmas, but Thunder didn’t have
to deal with ‘Melo that day, as he was grieving his sister’s death at the time.
Nuggets are the highest-scoring team in the league, and have played more
effective defense in last 10 games, holding foes to 100 ppg (vs. 104 ppg on
the season) and holding opponents to 43.9% (6th in NBA over last 10 games).
Denver has played through distractions of the past week, and won and
covered three straight prior to facing San Antonio Sunday night, scoring 130
ppg in the process. However, Thunder are hotter, covering 4 straight and 13
of last 18, so have to go with “The Tarantula” and the rest of Scott Brooks’
Northwest Division-leading OKC side. "Totals" note: OKC 7-1 “over” last 8
prior to facing Lakers Monday. 10-OKLA -6' 114-106 (213); 09-DEN -10 102-
93 (209), OKLA -2 101-84 (201), DEN -7 119-90 (208), Den +2' 98-94 (214)
